Over the past five years, so much of the hope and energy of the Metuchen-Santa Rosa partnership has been tied to work in the coastal village of San Antonito, within the auspices of Santa Cruz Parish, Chiquimulilla.
The area was devastated by Hurricane Mitch in 1998, and only now is at a point to begin working toward subsistence farming within the community itself.
