Ernie Revoir (left) and Jarteau Israel stand in front of Basilica Shrine of Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC before the Centennial Liturgy Sept.25.
After the celebration, Joe Kerrigan and Ernie Revoir exchange pleasantries at the John Paul II Cultural Center, just up the road from the Basilica.
CCDOM Executive Director Marianne Majewski meets with former CCUSA Executive Director Fr. Bryan Hehir at the same reception.
There are actually seven reps from the Diocese of Metuchen at the Centennial Gathering. Besides the CCDOM quartet, Joe Flannigan from the national Society of St. Vincent de Paul (and East Brunswick) is here, along with Jeff Korgen from the chancery and Sr. Elizabeth O'Hara from the Sisters of Mercy in Watchung. And founding Metuchen Bishop, now Cardinal Theodore McCarrick was one of the principal concelebrants.
